Dr. Gerd Illing

Dr. rer. nat., Dipl.-Chem.

Ever since obtaining a PhD in physical chemistry, Gerd Illing has been developing biomedical solutions. His experience comprises 10 years as the CEO of various biotech and medtech companies and more than 20 years in establishing, managing and evaluating large cross-disciplinary R&D consortia. Dr Illing works actively as interim manager and consultant with experienced innovative tech companies as well as with start-ups. He focuses particularly on biomedical optics for diagnostic and analytical devices (biophotonics) as well as on drug discovery and applications of microbiome research.
